Review & Description
The Telecaster family went through an expansion in 1972 with the introduction of the Telecaster Deluxe, Custom and a new version of the Thinline, originally launched in 1969. This version of the Telecaster featured a semi-hollow ash body with a distinctive single f hole. To compete with other famous electrics that feature humbucking pickups, Fender introduced their own version of the humbucker resulting in the Wide Range humbucker, designed by Seth Lover. The Wide Range Humbucker produces a bright, unique sound with power to spare.Fenders American Vintage 72 Telecaster Thinline boasts a period-correct early-70s 1 piece gloss lacquer finish maple neck with a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment, bullet truss rod nut and vintage-style F tuners. The neck is carved into a C-shaped profile, and the 21 fret maple fingerboard has a vintage style 7.25 radius. Other features include a three-position switch with barrel tip, four-ply white pearloid pickguard, vintage-style Stratocaster strings-through-body hardtail bridge, knurled chrome knobs and chrome hardware. Accessories include black Tolex case, polish cloth, 8 cable, strap and bridge cover.Order your Fender American Vintage 72 Telecaster Thinline Electric Guitar from Sam Ash Direct today with the security of our 45/60 day return/price protection policy and fast, free shipping.
